VEnue change for the Wave Gathering

6/21/09 Hello all! Just a quick note about tonight's performance for the Wave Gathering. Our show has been moved to another venue, The Annex, so now it will be free to enter! We look forward to seeing you there. On a side note, happy first day of Summer.

Dear Friends & Family,

As many of you know, our mother wrote a self-help book on crisis management and self-published it. It was selling very well and a lot of people said that it really helped them, but unfortunately our mom passed away before she could sell more of them. Now we have about 3500 copies of her book stored in my basement and we've decided that instead of selling them (or trashing them), we'd like to donate them to charities that could really use them. Do you know of anyone who would like a box of books (all the same title) on crisis management to give away to clients, friends, etc? Here is the blurb from the back of her book and a link to it on Amazon:

Keeping Your Boat Afloat When the Big One Hits: A crisis survival handbook to help you get through almost any crisis. With warmth and humor the author weaves her own story into a book chock full of information to help others through personal strife, tragedy, or simply the every day stresses of life.

Endorsed by Bernie Siegal, M.D., he says, "A very practical and sensible guidebook for dealing with your life, health, and afflictions. This book offers the reader the chance to combine inspiration and information and heal."

The reader will learn how to transform upheaval into opportunity, regain their perspective, and get back on an even keel, as well as discovering hidden talents and strengths. It is playful, powerful, and packs a punch.

View the book on Amazon.com

If you can think of anyone or any charity, psychologist, doctor's office, women's shelter, social worker, etc that could use this book, please let us know!! Please send an email to info(at)thecallensisters.com with the subject "Books". Drop-off locations would be ideal because shipping boxes of books is really expensive (if we have to ship them, however, we will try)!

Thanks so much!
Jess & Beth
